BEIMANN CINEASTIC is a small group of young people, living in Nuremberg, Germany, whose hobby is to make films. We have got a lot of self bought and self developed equipment, that we use to produce our films as cheap as possible. |

![]() ![]() We use an old ARRI IIC 35mm camera without blimp, where we have attached an anamorphotic lens for Super-8 projection, so we can make Cinemascope films. Matthias Fleischmann ( d.o.p. of TRIGON) who founded BEIMANN CINEASTIC has bought an AVID Media Composer with which we can edit our films. |
Thomas Spitzbart (assistant of Matthias Fleischmann and
grip at TRIGON) has built some dollies, two camera cranes and some special equipment.
Our first 35mm Film "Der Sortierer" was running in Cannes (selection officielle du
Cannes 1993). The Film was directed by Stephan Puchner. Matthias Fleischmann was director
of photography. After that we made three other shortfilms. All of them in 35mm Cinemascope.
No one of us has learnt to make films. It is just our hobby, and every film we make is
self produced, that means that the director has to pay for everything. |
